Where Culture Meets Sport.
A 100-meter pool in the Tennessee hills. A cinematic love letter to swimming, community, and the crafts that bind them — athletic, musical, culinary, performance.
The Experience
Four crafts. One experience.
Everything happens at the pool — on the deck, on the lawn, on the hill. Knox100 is a full day spent on the grounds.

The 100-Meter Stage
Crowds spread across the grassy beach, watching every heat from the lawn above the 100m course. Every split broadcast live.

Stage on the Lawn
A performance stage on the grassed beach amphitheater. The crowd sits on blankets and chairs — the pool at their back, the music in front.
Food Trucks on the Deck
Food trucks and picnic tables line the pool deck. East Tennessee artisan makers — the same lawn, the same community, a full day of craft provisions.
Big Screen on the Hill
A large outdoor screen on the grassy rise — showing live heats, documentary footage, and film. The arena is a spring-fed pool.

The Venue
The Big Pool.
Eight decades of history.
Built in 1944 by the U.S. Corps of Engineers, the Oak Ridge Outdoor Pool is one of the nation's largest — a spring-fed, 2.2-million-gallon gathering place with a 100-meter racing course that has anchored community life for eighty years.
A 2019 Historic Preservation Award and recent public art collaborations confirm what the community has always known: this is not just a pool. It is a canvas.
The Philosophy
“Art into everyday life.”— Bauhaus Manifesto, 1919 · Applied at 172 Providence Rd, Oak Ridge TN
The pool as workshop
Every athlete is an artisan. Every heat is a rehearsal. The 100-meter lane is where raw ability meets disciplined practice — Bauhaus in motion.
The 100m as structure
Form follows function. The course is 100 meters not because it sounds right, but because it creates the perfect tension between sprint and endurance, spectacle and effort.
The experience as culture
When athletics, music, food, and film share one venue, the whole exceeds the sum. That is not an event — it is a culture. And cultures outlast seasons.
Bridging Oak Ridge's local community with digital scale through brand activations, technology, and the art of great performances. A culture of trust, respect, and kindness.
